Ok so i like this form header template but when i change the overall header it works fine but i cant use any smiles or BBcode i know i wasnt suppose to just swap files but i was playing

can some one tell me how i can merge the two so they work , i like the redsilver header like im using here,

But i want to integrate it into the normal subsilver template....

you cants just mix different styles! if you want to change the style, edit the style template files by yourself instead of replacing them with other template files.

If i knew how to do that mate i would have done it by now

Delete all edeited style files, then upload the whole style again and then reinstall the style in admin panel.

To edit a style, open the .css file (eg. /templates/subsilver/subsilver.css).
The .css file is the main template file and really easy to understand.
thats only for the colors and main images (background etc), but if you want to add more stuff at the top or bottom of the page, open the overall_header.tpl and overall_footer.tpl (same directory).
thats easy because the .tpl files are written in html
You can do a lot by editing these files, i added over 80.000 Chars to 30 different files and look how different my forum looks compared to the original style.
