Hi Everyone

I am having a problem setting up my forum on http://sportshop.freehostia/forum

I am getting the following error;

Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) in /home/www/sportshop.freehostia.com/forum/db/mysql4.php on line 48

Could not connect to the database.
Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)

Please can somebody help?

now it's allright, you can install forum. it was server fault

update your link, its: http://sportshop.freehostia.com/forum
as it says it cant connect to the sql server, so you probably typed in a wrong
Your Database Name, Database Username or Database Password.
i visited you page, the installation page looks strange to me - it should not look like that. what version are you trying to install?
you should only install the latest version which is 1.12.5

I installed the latest version from the options on przemo downloads page

I will check with my host for the correct database information and try again
