Hello,

I'm using your shoutbox mod with a normal modded phpBB forum, but my users have found a way to edit their names by changing the variables in the url when they are edditing their messages.

So you can simply edit your name by changing "name_edit." I tried to remove this out of the url, but then the messages will be removed in case of editted. Is there a way to stop this name changing?

I know this bug it appear 16 months ago but I do not continue shoutbox project (published only on the phpbbhacks.com). Last public version of shoutbox is 1.4, in my modification already is installed 1.7.

phpbbhacks.com don't allow to publish my modifiaction becouse I don't have permission all mod authors (more than 200 person). But this permission is inpossible to get, so I have finished working with them.

Hello Przemo, thanks for your answer. Is it possible if I download your modded version of phpBB and replace your shoutbox files with mine? Or did you make some changes in your code which didn't work with a "normal" version of phpBB?

I made some changes in my DB and I removed/replaced some functions (ismod, isjunioradmin,replace_badwords ect.) and it looks work fine now

i got this prob now...
users keep changing their names, but they dont do it... the mod do it byitself
