Hello all,

Since a few weeks, I have problem on my forum. Somebody or bot try to connect with members nick names. So the member recieve email that he try to login X times with a wrong password and then the account is blocked for 30 min. I would like to block the IP address and not the account member if it's possible or disactivate this module. How can I do it please?

Open your Administration Panel ---> General Admin ---> Additional.
Find "Block user on wrong log in" and put there a bigger number or find below "Block account time" and decrease 30 min to, for example 1 or 0 (if it's possible).

You can ban IP address from your administration tools installed on the server where you've got your forum. Maybe you have "Cpanel" ??

I made 99 wrong login and 1 min block account. I hope that will be ok.
What is Cpanel? I have the last version of Przemo phpBB. How may I know who try to connect with wrong password because they use the right nick name member.

There should be a special administration tool for administrators installed on your server. You should look for "Ban IP address" or something like this, when you are logged in. Also you can connect by FTP, open /public_html/ directory and find .htaccess file. Open it and add there a line like this: deny from xxx.xx.xx.xxx.

Do it if you know IP addresses of bots or enemy users, of course.
