English version - spamwords

Temat postu: spamwords
I have recently encountered problems with spammers - they all post the same links and so I thought it would be handy if I could stop them posting altogether rather than just having word censors. I came across this which would be handy but I can't get it working on przemo. I follow the instructions as much as I can but get an error message when posting. Could someone help or point me in the direction of a suitable mod?

As Centurion said in a similar topic before:

A better way is to prevent spam by adding an extra field, required while registration process

Administration Panel->Users->Profile fields
[Add]
example:
Field name: type 6 digits in here
Maximum chars lenght: 6
Minimum chars lenght: 6
Numerics values only: Yes
Require durning registration: Yes
Viewable by: ADMIN & user

this will stop spambots and they won't register on your forum

Thanks for your reply but it's not a spambot but must be a human. First of all I have image verification on and secondly I have email verification switched on - robots can't read the image verification and click on links in emails.

you're wrong, bots can read validation images (CAPTCHA) using their OCR system, and reply for activation e-mails

OK. Thanks for letting me know. At the moment I have set the level to admin activation for all accounts which I will trial for a few days then will try your suggestion.
