I get this error, when I create backup on Admin Panel for SQL:

SQL Error : 2006 MySQL server has gone away

SHOW FIELDS FROM phpbb_search_results

There was some.. similar problems some time ago, and there was also same solution. Try make a copy using phpmyadmin or any other direct sql manager. Looks like table phpbb_search_results might be, a little too big for simple internal script.
